Mountains and Valleys

Accompanied Walks

We can take you on a journey through the quieter valleys of the Lake District for a day or half a day. If you wish to explore the mountains of the Lake District with a qualified leader there are classic routes to the well know summits or visit some of the lesser known tops that are quiet, but offer wonderful viewpoints.

Mountain Skills

The mountains of the Lake District are inviting and can look straightforward when the sun is shining. However, conditions can change quickly and safety depends on having the necessary skills and equipment. Navigating using a map and compass (the batteries never run out), so that you can complete your route in poor visibility or bad weather and knowing what to take to keep you safe will give you confidence to climb to the tops. Let us know your skill level and you aspiration and we can help you build your skills.

Scrambling

The Lake District has many excellent scramble route to the classic tops. Take the next steps in your mountaineering journey by joining us to climb Helvelly by Striding Edge, returning by Swirral Edge, Blencathra by Sharp Edge or the classic Jack's Rake on Pavey Ark.
